Sales Account Manager (Glasgow)

Reporting to: Senior Account Manager

Purpose of the Role

To sell promotional space and associated services within venues via the telephone. You will handle incoming calls, make outgoing calls and maintain acceptable levels of customer service. The goal is to achieve maximum revenue. You will be selling the benefits of our venues and experiential marketing to a variety of client’s dependant on your specific business area. These include small and large businesses, retail clients and advertising agencies. You should aim to maximise every sales opportunity. You will define clients’ needs and fulfil them by offering solutions to their requirements. Your primary function is to gain new promoters by canvassing from publications or lead sources. Additionally you will service existing promoters to encourage continued spend and to maximise revenue from unsolicited incoming new business.

  • Knowledge – Our product and centres, the marketplace, the job and what is required.

  • Sales skills – Professional, persuasive, empathetic, informative, good listener, articulate, good communication skills with an ability to think quickly.
  • Work habits – Well organised, ability to plan, work towards deadlines and under pressure, target oriented/goal driven.

Specific knowledge and skills required:

  • No specific educational requirements although must be literate and numerate with good articulation
  • Previous sales experienced required
  • Media Experience not required although advantageous
  • Personality with professionalism (people buy people)
  • Ability to learn and work within defined parameters
  • Good computer literacy
